Police: Teen Smashes Into House After Chase

None In House Were Hurt

A speeding car smashed into a house in North Royalton, Ohio, Monday night, The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported.

The four people in the home were not injured, but the car went onto the porch through the front door and living room wall, causing "extensive damage."

An 18-year-old man was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland shortly after the 9 p.m. crash with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, a patrolman attempted to stop a speeding car when the driver took off, the Plain Dealer reported.

Police lost sight of the car and were called minutes later by a homeowner who said a car had crashed into his home.

The driver is expected to be charged.
