On Sale: 'Animal House' Deathmobile

Lincoln Continental Features Turret, Flame-Fins

If you want to own a piece of movie history or just break up a stuffy college homecoming parade, Craigslist has just the deal for you.

An Orlando seller on the site is offering up the claimed original "Deathmobile" from the 1978 movie "Animal House."

The black 1966 Lincoln Continental comes from the Barris Star Car Collection and features a turret, red-trimmed flame-fins and a teeth-filled mouth on the grille. The asking price for the car is $19,998.

The car featured heavily in the popular movie, whose stars included John Belushi, Tom Hulce, Tim Matheson, Karen Allen, Kevin Bacon and Donald Sutherland.

Starting off as a weekend loaner from a pledge's older brother, it was wrecked during a beer-fueled road trip. The car was reborn as the frat brothers of Delta House used it to crash their college's homecoming parade after their expulsion and charter revocation.
