Cox Conserves Heroes

Do you know people in our community who are making big strides to ensure a greener tomorrow? We’d like to know who they are, and recognize them for their efforts.

KIRO-TV, along with Cox Enterprises -- our parent company -- and The Trust for Public Land, is excited to announce Cox Conserves Heroes, a new program to honor the environmental heroes among us.

We’re looking for those unsung heroes who work behind the scenes to improve and preserve shared parks and outdoor spaces. Whether picking up litter in their neighborhoods, planting community gardens or restoring shorelines in Puget Sound, they make our region a better place for everyone to live.

If you or your nominee is selected, $5,000 will be awarded to the environmental non-profit organization of choice. Nominations closed on August 15, 2008. Nominees will be announced soon.
