LAKE STEVENS, Wash. -- A tentative agreement was reached late Tuesday evening between the Lake Stevens School District and the Lake Stevens Education Association, said Arlene Hulten of the Lake Stevens School District.

Both sides have signed the tentative agreement and the teachers will vote on the contract 9 a.m. Thursday at Lake Stevens High School.

The school board will also review the contract at their Sept. 9 meeting.

As a result of the negotiation agreement, the first day of school for Lake Stevens' students is changed to Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Additional details of calendar changes will be available Thursday, Sept. 10, after 12 p.m. and will be posted on the district's Web site at www.lkstevens.wednet.edu.
