Kurt Angle. Sting. Two names every wrestling fan knows very well. They met Sunday night at TNA's "Bound For Glory," with the heavyweight title on the line.

Podcast: Episode 49

What happened? The answer later in this column, but first, let's see what happened on the rest of the card:

Tables Match: The Steiners vs. Team 3D
What Should Happen: It's 1993, and you're living in your mother's basement. This match comes on TV. Actually, there's nothing wrong with these fossils beating each other up. As long as it's relatively short, I think it might be pretty entertaining. No matter what, I still think Big Poppa Pump is pretty funny. In short doses. What should happen? Does it matter?

What Will Happen: I'm taking the Steiner Brothers to win a quick, wild match.

What Did Happen: The Steiners won it.

X-Division Championship Match: Jay Lethal (c) vs. Christopher Daniels
What Should Happen: Lethal is the guy who mimics Randy Savage. Daniels is a bit goth and goes by "The Fallen Angel." Both are decent wrestlers who work hard. I think Daniels should have the gold, though. Comedy acts are bad champs, in my book.

What Will Happen: While I want Daniels, I think Lethal will retain.

What Did Happen: Lethal won with a clean pin.

TNA Tag Team Championship Match: Ron Killings and Pacman Jones (c) vs. A.J. Styles and Tyson Tomko
What Should Happen: Pacman, who STILL can't have physical contact in the ring (Tennessee Titans contract), is somehow on a championship team? That's creative booking, folks. And who is TNA kidding by thinking anyone cares about this bum? GET REAL! Anyway, this is a heel vs. heel encounter, and I say the better wrestlers should win. That would be the team of Styles and Tomko. Give Jones his walking papers. He's abysmal.

What Will Happen: Styles and Tomko will take this one.

What Did Happen: Pacman didn't wrestle, as a guy named Rasheed Creed filled in for him. In the end, Styles and Tomko won.

Ultimate X Match: Senshi and Elix Skipper vs. Hernandez and Homicide
What Should Happen: In this one, it's XXX versus LAX, and the first team to grab a plastic X hanging over the ring wins. Pay close attention to Skipper, a guy who has great coordination and flexibility. There's no reason why this shouldn't be a dynamite match.

What Will Happen: I'm going with the Latin American Exchange to get the win.

What Did Happen: LAX took it.

Challenge Match: Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage
What Should Happen: There "must be a winner" in this match. Or what? I get a refund? You have to go with Joe in this one. He should have been in the main event, if you ask me.

What Will Happen: If there must be a winner, it must be Samoa Joe.

What Did Happen: Hey, whaddya know, it was Samoa Joe!

Gauntlet Match: Christy Hemme vs. Gail Kim vs. Ms. Brooks vs. Jackie Moore vs. Roxxi Laveaux
What Should Happen: The winner of this match (a variation of a Royal Rumble) will be crowned the first TNA Women's Champion. This will be interesting. Will TNA give it to a real wrestler (Moore) or a bimbo (Hemme)? Your guess is as good as mine.

What Will Happen: I'm picking the colorful Roxxi Laveaux.

What Did Happen: It came down to Laveaux and Kim in the finals, with Kim winning. She's your new TNA Womens Champ.

Monster's Ball Match: Abyss vs. Raven vs. Rhino vs. Black Reign
What Should Happen: Here, each participant is locked away alone for 24 hours before the match starts. I guess that makes them more cranky. If they're watching baseball on FOX and forced to listen to Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, that would really put them over the edge. Those guys are TERRIBLE! Anyway, you can't have a monster mash without the monster Abyss winning. But it looks like Raven is getting a new push, and I guess that wouldn't be a bad pick. As for Rhino and Black (Dustin Runnels) Reign, I guess they didn't have anything else to do.

What Will Happen: Raven will be the most monstrous.

What Did Happen: Abyss was the most monstrous, pinning Raven.

Fight For The Right Match: Robert Roode vs. James Storm vs. B.G. James vs. Kip James vs. Lance Hoyt vs. Jimmy Rave vs. Chris Harris vs. Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelly vs. Kaz vs. Eric Young vs. Petey Williams vs. Junior Fatu vs. Shark Boy vs. Sonjay Dutt
What Should Happen: The winner gets a TNA title shot. Roode and Petey Williams are the only ones here who should be elevated to the next level. As for this match, don't ask me what the rules are. I doubt TNA even knows. If this company is EVER going to be taken seriously, it has to simplify these garbage-fest matches.

What Will Happen: Roode will be the dude.

What Did Happen: It came down to Eric Young and Robert Roode in the finals of this one. Young pulled out the win.

TNA Championship Match: Kurt Angle (c) vs. Sting
What Should Happen: On paper, it's two wrestling legends squaring off. On paper, it should work. In reality, Sting seems a step slower than he should be. In reality, Angle is still great -- and he could carry this one. That's what I'm hoping.

What Will Happen: Angle will get the pin and the win.

What Did Happen: Sting got the pin and the win, grabbing the TNA title.

That's it. TNA's 2007 "Bound For Glory" is history. As for my picks, I wasn't as PERFECT in my picks for WWE's "No Mercy" last week, but this is a pressure-cooker business. For the record, I had five right and four wrong -- better than 50 percent. As in, I batted better than .500. Not perfect, but I'll take it.
