The oldest theater in Seattle, the Moore was built in 1907 and since then has had a rich history with the arts. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and in the last twenty years has defined itself as a venue for both community events and local dance or musical groups as well as a popular venue for a wide variety of touring alternative music and theater groups.
