Seattle Center
Over 40 years old, the Seattle Center still keeps a unique Seattle essence alive, as it's place where events are open to all, mostly for free; where festivals and expos are held; and where arts, music, sports, crafts and learning come together like no other place in the Northwest.Constructed for the 1962 World's Fair on 74 acres of what is now some of Seattle's most prime real estate, Seattle Center was a symbol of the future beyond 2000. Ironically, today parts of it -- like the Space Needle -- are historical monuments.Seattle Attractions Guide Photo Gallery: Seattle Landmarks
