Showtimes Thursday through Sunday at 7:30pm. Additional showtimes Friday and Saturday at 9:30pm. Doors at 6pm Thursday and 5:30pm Friday through Sunday.Lee Ritenour's eclectic and storied career is highlighted by 17 Grammy nominations. He has recorded over 40 albums, with 35 chart songs, notably the Top 15 hit "Is It You," which has become a contemporary jazz radio classic. In the '90s, Ritenour was a founding member of Fourplay, the most successful band in contemporary jazz, with keyboardist Bob James, bassist Nathan East and drummer Harvey Mason. The first Fourplay album in 1991 spent an unprecedented 33 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz chart. Ritenour has developed a keen understanding of the symbiotic balance between the frontman and the supporting players, between the wisdom of experience and the enthusiasm of youth. On Rhythm Sessions (2012), Ritenour's newest album, he surrounds himself with a cadre of high-profile veterans and promising newcomers, all of whom reaffirm the vital role played by the rhythm section in any worthwhile musical endeavor. Included on the Rhythm Sessions roster are luminaries like Chick Corea, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Dave Grusin, Marcus Miller and many others. In a career that spans three decades and more than a dozen eclectic and innovative recordings, six-time Grammy nominee Mike Stern has established himself as one of the premier jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists and composers of his generation. The recipient of Guitar Player magazine's Certified Legend Award for 2012, he's an artist who's not afraid to bring numerous styles and ideas - however diverse - into the same place just to see what happens. All Over the Place (2012), Stern's newest recording, aligns the characteristically diverse and adventurous guitarist with a cadre of brilliant guests, including trumpeter Randy Brecker; saxophonist Kenny Garrett; and drummers Dave Weckl, Keith Carlock and Lionel Cordew. Also on hand is a delegation of high-caliber bass players: Esperanza Spalding, Richard Bona, Victor Wooten, Anthony Jackson, Dave Holland, Tom Kennedy, Will Lee and Victor Bailey. "I love bebop, swing, rock, all the stuff that a lot of guitar players - especially jazz players - tend to include in their music," says Stern. "There's a lot of music that really inspires me, and it usually covers quite a few territories." $28.50
