Join us to learn about and practice Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, also known as kado or “the way of flowers”. More than simply putting flowers in a container, Ikebana is a form of art in which nature and humanity are brought together in an elegant and meditative way. Try to bring the following supplies: one frog or kenzan (a small metal form to hold flowers, 2” in diameter) and a container of any shape for flowers (usually a ceramic bowl with shallow sides about 2” deep and 6-7” in diameter). All other materials provided.
