Power Chicks UnNetworking - not the usual MO Do you... Feel isolated and long for a warm community of women to support you? Dislike the pressure to "sell" your business and wish you could be yourself?  Long for so much more than swapping biz cards and giving referrals? Want to build deeper relationships than you can in large networking meetings? So different, we call it UnNetworking Power Chicks UnNetworking invites heart and soul connections to support you and your business with real results and holistic goodness. We meet the first Thursday of every month in Seattle. See, what you want is simple: to be known, connected with and in community with women on a similar pathway. What you don’t want is simple, too — meaningless business cards, superficial "contacts"  (yuck) and pressure to force both smile and sales pitch (double yuck). Our meeting is limited to 30 women. We keep it intimate for one reason: so you can relax and experience connection within a warm, accepting circle of women.   December topic - Stop the glorification of busy    Do you say, "I’m so busy!" with the regularity of an ex-lax® addict? Do you shoehorn days with back-to-back to client meetings, family obligations and personal appointments and end up half-comatose by 9 PM? If so, you’re not alone. As entrepreneurs, yes, we are busy. Yet what often lurks beneath frenetic activity is not a need to accomplish things but something less than illustrious. Stuff like self-importance. Martyrdom. Approval-seeking. And all their unsavory kin. This month, we’re deep diving into the glorification of "busy" – a discussion that will bring self-awareness to your own patterns as well as insight out of the madness.     At UnNetworking, rather than listen to speaker (the usual MO), we gather in small groups for discussion. Why? Because sharing our own wisdom builds richer bonds than listening to a speaker ever will. We invite you to show up as yourself — fully human and perfectly imperfect. What to expect We begin with about 30 minutes of mingling in an easy atmosphere while enjoying light appetizers. Then, we gather in a circle to get acquainted followed by the most magical part - breaking into groups of 4-5 women with questions designed to facilitate conversation and relationships.  Blush-worthy raves "By focusing on who you are — your essential self — rather than on what you do, these meetings foster valuable relationships and connections." -Sara Shelton "I love having a place where I can share challenges without fear that someone is out to sell to me and get me as a client. I can develop real relationships here." - Carmela Ramaglia "This is definitely much more than networking. The time to take a deeper look at an issue that affects my business is invaluable." – Bridget Nichols  Just off 1-5 near Northgate We meet at Verity Credit Union’s beautiful corporate office near Northgate, just off 1-5. Free underground parking. Note from Lynn, Chief ChickHi, I’m Lynn Baldwin-Rhoades, and I founded Power Chicks for women just like you. If this style of meeting resonates with you, please join us. And if you have questions - maybe you’re not a huge fan of networking or are unsure what to expect - email me. I’m here to answer any questions.   Click to read the Power Chicks story.    Visit EventBrite.com for pricing.
