SIFF and the Association of Moving Image Archivists have joined forces to celebrate the work of film preservationists and archives from across the country with The Festival of the Archives. This four-day film festival will feature twelve newly-restored cinema treasures-including big screen classics, legendary musicals, family favorites, and cult films-each featuring an informative and unique introduction by renowned film preservationists from the AMIA, and bonus archival treasures from the vaults.

"Alien"
"The Spy Who Loved Me"

"The Terminator"
Special Offer for Festival of the Archives Passholders:
Festival of the Archives passholders will get priority seating for all the screenings in the series, as well as an invite to a special extra program on Wednesday December 5, the AMIA Archival Screening Night. This eclectic evening features AMIA members presenting their newest preservation work and acquisitions. Previous programs have included newly found silent films, home movies of the stars, the earliest know film with Gaelic Language dialogue, a rare interview with John Lennon, and WW2 public service announcements.
