RESONATE II: Not your classic classical concert. Local composers and musicians. The second concert in the Resonate series builds on the concept of producing a "unclassical" classical concert but with the focus shifted more to nuanced performances of concise, emotionally accessible materiel. The concert is co-curated by Sam Anderson (cellist for local groups Hey Marseilles and Bryan John Appleby), Scott Teske (Seattle Rock Orchestra), and Andrew Joslyn (Macklemore). The program for the evening promises a striking irreverence to the traditional structure of a classical concert and contains many surprises. all ages, mostly seated general admission + some standing room 7:30 show time ~~ "The word "resonate" has a dual meaning: It describes the effect of resonance in a physical sense, for example, reverb and echo, and also describes the evocation of memories, feelings, and images. This concert is built on the ideas behind both of those definitions. Against a traditional classical backdrop, the program for Resonate stands out for its diversity of styles and eras.
