This 6, 10 & 13 km walk is rated 1A. Event opens from 9:00 to 6:00 pm between Monday and Saturday, and from 9:00 to 5:00 on Sunday. Event is closed on major holidays. This walk is through Gasworks Park, into and through Fremont ("the center of the universe") with its world famous sculptures of the Troll (beneath the Aurora Bridge), Waiting for the Interurban, and Vladimir Lenin (?). Walk on both sides of the Lake Washington Ship Canal, returning along the Burke Gilman Trail. 6 and 13 K routes head via Fremont to and along the south side of the Canal; the 13 K option continues all the way to the Hiram Chittenden Locks, fish ladder, and historic Ballard before linking up with the last leg of the 10 K route.
