Description: Seattle Opera educators will present an hour-long, engaging multimedia lecture that covers the basics of the opera's history, music and stagecraft. "La Cenerentola" is a comedic love story that sails through flowery ensembles, ridiculous situations and a lovely cavatina or two en route to a fairy tale finale. Rossini's brisk, catchy and entertaining retelling of the ultimate rags-to-riches story cleverly blends tenderness and frivolity to fabulous effect.
