Whidbey Island, WA 6449 Old Pietila Rd Clinton, WA 98236 Saturday, January 12, 2013 ThresholdArts is an extraordinary coaching team based in the Bay Area who will be holding a weekend-long program at the Whidbey Institute, specifically tailored to individuals who are looking to improve their workplace and personal relationships, or are faced with a turning point in their lives. TA's approach is unique and involves more than passive learning or discussion of personal problems. They employ creative and fun processes for participants to experiment with fresh ways of identifying pivotal junctures in their lives, and practicing new responses and behaviors. When it comes to major choices, personal or professional, they encourage people to utilize an artistic or improvisational stance, asking what's really needed or "wanting" to happen next, rather than trying to conform to pre-set ideas or "shoulds". Their approach is also very much centered around the idea of listening to the wisdom of the body, whose physical responses to the circumstances of our lives can tell us a lot about how we might choose in a way that is in alignment with what we truly want. Though their programs have a playful feel, Mitch and Maryliz are serious about helping people develop the confidence and capabilities to navigate the most challenging circumstances they face, and the skills they teach are powerful tools for life. With the approach of new year 2013, this program offering is timely and very exciting for those who are ready for a positive shift in their lives.
