Many nonprofits are caught in a vise: more demand for their help, yet significantly reduced resources. Continuing to deliver on mission will require tight focus and new approaches — including fuller use of volunteers.  In this Leadership Speaker session, United Way of King County’s President and CEO, Jon Fine, will share why they are making big investments in volunteerism and how he sees effective volunteer engagement as a leadership opportunity for the sector. Learn more about the thinking behind United Way’s Volunteer Impact Partnership - an initiative in cooperation with 501 Commons. And hear directly from local executive directors, Gregory Malcolm from Encompass and Cheryl Sesnon from Jubilee Women's Center, about the new capacity they gained when they focused on volunteerism as a resource for achieving mission. You’ll also learn how nonprofits, government, business, and philanthropy can be champions for a healthier, more sustainable volunteer infrastructure in Washington State. The event includes breakfast, coffee, and tea. Members of 501 Commons (previous NPower members) and Washington Nonprofits are eligible for the member discount price. Read about becoming a 501 Commons member.  Member 32.49 Non-Member 48.24
