A BENEFIT FOR JAKE feat. THE GOOD WIVES, TELEKINESIS (SOLO), & AARON KIRBYLocal musician, stand-up guy, and lead singer for the Good Wives, Jake Bruggman was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma on his 28th birthday (happy birthday!) Jake will start chemo soon, lose his hair, be forced to stop working, and will need our help with his expensive, and hopefully very effective treatments. We've rallied the troops and put together the best cancer-fighting benefit show!Pitching in are a number of local musicians:Telekinesis is Michael Benjamin Lerner, an indie rocker based out of Seattle who is currently signed to Merge Records. Michael is gonna play the cancer away for Jake with a solo acoustic set.Ian Prebo and Blackheart Honeymoon are going to get their post-rock folk on and kick in a set to kick out the cancer.Aaron Kirby will be contributing some comedy by way of a stand-up set. Cancer hates comedy and comedy hates cancer. Aaron will prove this.There will be other musical contributions as well from members of the community. Come celebrate the strength of community and help us put cancer in it's place.
