Monotypes With the Press Workshop - Whidbey Life Magazine - Sat Jan 19 at 10:00AM Monotypes With the Press Workshop: Monotypes are created by painting or drawing on a smooth surface (plexiglass plate) and then transferring the image onto paper. This can be done using a printing press or by hand. You can also ink the entire plexiglass plate and then remove sections of ink to create images. In this workshop we will explore a variety of techniques using brushes, rollers, cellophane, bubble wrap and cardboard. Creating monotypes is often a spontaneous experience. No previous printmaking experience required.
