Description: Alec McFarlane, president of the Library for Deaf Action will lead the discussion on libraries and the deaf community. Topics will include: - culturally relevant library materials - deaf authors - programming for and about the diverse deaf community The discussion will also highlight works by notable deaf authors in Children's Fiction, Adult Fiction and Nonfiction genres. Ann Silver, Seattle resident and internationally-known deaf artist featured in "Ann Silver: One Way, Deaf Way," will participate in the program.
