Location: Douglas Classroom, Center for Urban Horticulture, 3501 NE 41st Street, Seattle, WA 98105. Lecture 7 in the Master Pruner Series co-sponsored with PlantAmnesty. Registration by February 7: $30. PlantAmnesty members $23. Instructor: Cass Turnbull. The three main forms of mal-pruning tree topping, inappropriate shearing, and over-thinning will be compared with bona-fide examples of specialize pruning art: pollarding, cloud pruning, topiary, pleaching, and coppicing.
