Date: February 8th, 2013, 12 Noon – 2 PMThis Forum Session is designed for therapists and Christian leaders in support of a pre-conference focus for the February 9th  “Higher Ground Men’s Conference: Winning the Battle for Sexual Integrity” –  www.highergroundmen.com . Our emphasis will center not only on the challenge confronted by those facing the struggle of problematic sexual behavior, but also the often equally daunting challenge of how to engage men to consider and connect with effective resources to address this stubborn issue when it is appropriate. This most often involves developing thoughtful approaches for attending to the shame, fear of judgment and corresponding denial associated with this issue. A panel of counselors and Christian leaders that specialize in this area will first present an overview of the essential nature of problematic sexual behavior, its roots and when it can truly be considered a “problem” or an addiction. Second, practical approaches to doing an initial assessment plus a referral/resource guide will be provided, along with an overview of the 3 essential components an effective recovery program.
