On December 28, 2012, the Internal Revenue Service issued guidance on the Affordable Care Act's Pay or Play Regulations.
Please join us for a lunch seminar that will summarize the new guidance's impact on the regulations and outline the final steps necessary for 2014 compliance.
We will incorporate the new guidance and will focus on:Identifying the actual effective date of the regulations--is it January 1, 2014, for all plans or only calendar year plans?Reviewing key definitions of employee categories and measurement periodsOutlining how to avoid the penalties by offering minimum essential coverage that provides minimum value and is affordableProviding you with tools and resources to analyze your plan's potential liabilities
We will also provide an update on other new developments under the Affordable Care Act, including new fees employers must pay.
About the Presenter
John Barlament, partner of the law firm Quarles & Brady LLP, deals exclusively in employee benefits law. He represents third-party administrators, employers, brokers, and benefit consultants in all aspects of employee benefits law.
