Childhaven will hold its annual fundraising luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center. Keynote speaker is former UW track and field star and U.S. Olympic hopeful Norris Frederick, who came to Childhaven as a toddler in 1989. He survived a childhood scarred by physical abuse, domestic violence, family alcoholism and his father’s murder to become one of the most successful high school and college track and field athletes in history. A minimum donation of $150 will be requested at the event.
