This introductory hand tool class will familiarize students with a simple assortment of hand tools which are considered as essential as their power tools by experienced wood and metal workers. Students will learn the proper use and care of each of these tools. As well as instructor demonstrations of the tools, students will also gain hands on experience with them. Additionally, Students will have the opportunity to interact with the instructor and ask him questions about the tools and how they might be used in specific student projects. Over the course of his 25+ years of professional experience in prototyping and construction, the instructor has learned which tools are essential pieces and which are mere fluff. His every day tool kit is used as the basis of this course and will be in the classroom for student inspection.
