Hear Dr. Bill Dienst, co-editor of the book Freedom Sailors, discuss the first successful voyage to break the Israeli government's siege of Gaza. A physician in Omak, Washington, Bill Dienst served as the medical officer on the voyage with 44 passengers who risked their lives and possible imprisonment to call international attention to the plight of Palestinians with the illegal blockage of Gaza. This ongoing blockade represents yet another form of collective punishment enforced by the Israeli government against the Palestinian people. Dr. Bill Dienst will also discuss the current reality in Gaza regarding the aftermath of the most recent Israeli military assault.
