Paper Hammer Gallery
1400 2nd Ave
Seattle, WA 98101
Friday, February 8, 2013, 11am – 6pm
Paper Hammer Gallery’s February exhibition “Endless Horizons: Snapshots and Stories from the American West” will feature photography by John A. Kane, who lives in both Tieton and Issaquah, Washington. Kane, a dedicated observer of the West, seeks in the landscape traces of our history, evidence of our values, and signs of our intentions.
About his work, Kane writes, “When I was a kid, back in the middle of the last century, my family moved from the east coast to L.A. Driving through Colorado, we were passed by a huge tail-finned convertible with a cowboy at the wheel and a longhorn rack on the hood. I urged my father to catch up so I could get a closer look. He did—and ended up with a speeding ticket. I ended up with a life-long habit of driving around the West, taking a closer look, trying to discover what it’s really about.”
We’re pleased to bring these stunning prints to the Paper Hammer Gallery. Visit us and experience the beauty of the American West through Kane’s insightful vision.
