Give the Earth a hug, and help Whole Planet Foundation! Friendly Earth will be onsite for a FREE, electronics recycling event.  Check out the accepted donations list here.  A portion of the proceeds generated from the event will benefit Whole Planet Foundation. About Whole Planet Foundation Whole Planet Foundation's mission is poverty alleviation through microcredit in communities worldwide that supply Whole Foods Market stores with products. Whole Planet Foundation was born out of Whole Foods Market's desire to give something back to those who have helped us succeed while focusing on the persistent problem of world poverty and hunger. The foundation was formed with the entrepreneurial spirit of Whole Foods Market in partnership with Professor Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank, co-recipients of 2006 Nobel Peace Prize. About Friendly Earth Friendly Earth is a Seattle based non-profit organization specializing in electronic recycling. Their goal is to reuse, reduce, refurbish and recycle as much e-waste as possible. 100% the items they receive are recycled according to E-Steward Standards. This means nothing is ever dumped or exported into third world countries. Friendly Earth is part of Washington State's E-Cycle program, EPA's Waste Wise program, Washington State's Take It Back program, and endorsers of, Green America, BAN.org, and are currently pursuing their E-Stewards Certification.
