Public Health - Seattle & King County (Public Health) is pleased to announce the topics for the fourth semiannual King County Emergency Support Function 8 briefing for local emergency managers, healthcare partners, community-based organizations and public information officers.Taking place each fall and spring, these briefings feature updates on plans, research and other issues that Public Health is addressing to ensure King County is prepared for an ESF 8 emergency response.This briefing will take place at Bellevue City Hall and will include presentations on:- CHEMPACK The CHEMPACK program is an ongoing initiative of CDC's Division of Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) launched in 2003, which provides antidotes (three countermeasures used concomitantly) to nerve agents for pre-positioning by State, local, and/or tribal officials throughout the U.S. CHEMPACK Program is envisioned as a comprehensive capability for the effective use of medical countermeasures in the event of an attack on civilians with nerve agents.- Vulnerable Populations / Whole Community Planning- Training and ExercisesTarget Audience: Local emergency managers, healthcare partners, community-based organizations, public and private sector responders.
