SEATTLE -- A judge heard arguments Tuesday in the case of gay and lesbian couples who sued King County for denying them marriage licenses.Eight couples are seeking to overturn the state Defense of Marriage law, which prohibits gay marriage. Their lawsuit was filed in March.Judge William Downing said he expects to rule within seven to 10 days.
