Get Connected
There are countless organizations doing extraordinary work to enrich the quality of life in our community. Each month we’ll showcase a few to help you get connected, whether it’s to learn about the possibilities, get help for your family, volunteer your time and talents, contribute financially or participate in an event.Arts & Entertainment: Simple Measures
Chamber music concerts where you're inches away from the performers. Where you can come as you are. Where you can discuss and get insight into the music. Where you can hear unusually juxtaposed pieces played by top area artists in unique venues.
Where? Go to Simple Measures for the February dates and locations for Strung Out: The Multi-Dimensional Guitar. The versatility of the guitar will shine through as classical and electric guitar are paired with a string quartet. Noted classical and crossover guitarist Michael Nicolella and the odeonquartet will perform compositions by Boccherini and the romantics, and a piece for string quartet and electric guitar inspired by Led Zeppelin’s Black Dog.
And speaking of unique venues, watch as Simple Measures takes its music on the road - literally - in the Seattle Streetcar.
