Kent's Independence Day Celebration is held annually on July 4 at Lake Meridian Park on the East Hill. The event is renown for hosting one of South King County’s largest fireworks display, accompanied by live orchestral music from the Rainier Symphony.

The Splash takes place on 4th at scenic Lake Meridian Park, 14800 SE 272nd Street in Kent, from 12:00 noon to 11 p.m. Free parking and shuttle service from four parking lots make it easy to attend the Splash! Please follow event parking signs to the following locations:

Over 15,000 Puget Sound residents come to Lake Meridian Park to celebrate the Fourth of July. The event brings family and friends together to celebrate Independence Day in their own community. Some of the fun free activities the entire family can enjoy are a classic car show, old-fashioned games, a boat parade and a pie and watermelon eating contest. Stage entertainment takes place on the Valley Medical Center stage and hands-on art projects are available for the kids. The day is highlighted by a performance from the full Rainier Symphony at 9:00 p.m. and they continue to play a choreographed performance with one of the largest fireworks displays in South King County.
