Great Trails Of Washington: Lewis River Trail
Lewis River Trail, located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, is a relatively flat, but enriching 14 mile trek through one of western Washington's finest forests. Take I-5 south past Longview and Kelso to Woodland. Take Highway 503 east to the town of Cougar. From Cougar, take road No. 90 for 5 miles and turn left on road No. 9030. Go 1 more mile to the Lewis Trail Bridge. If you can take two cars, we suggest leaving one at your destination, the Quartz Creek Trailhead, and the other at your starting point...the Lewis River Trailhead.
