SAMMAMISH, Wash. -- Nearly 25 percent of students at Elizabeth Blackwell Elementary in Sammamish are recovering from what health officials suspect is a norovirus outbreak.More than 120 of the school's 560 students were out sick on Tuesday morning and 15 more were sent home later in the day.Office manager Kathy Gustafson said only 90 students were out sick Wednesday.“We’re on the road to recovery,” Gustafson said.No other schools in King County are reporting high numbers of sick students this week, but officials said it's not uncommon to see waves like this move through schools.
Blackwell Elementary is open but is taking extra steps to make sure kids wash their hands and wipe down their desks.
