Alaska Airlines Takes Measures Amid Flu Fears

Posted: 11:40 am PDT April 30, 2009

Seattle-based Alaska Airlines, which flies to Mexico several times a day, is pulling pillows and blankets from their Mexico City flights.

The airline is also stepping up their routine cleaning of planes between flights and cleaning knobs and seats with a powerful disinfectant.

Hand wipes have also been made available to passengers.

Masks and gloves are supplied for flight crews.

Alaska said they're getting many flight changes, phone calls and re-bookings from passengers concerned about swine flu.
