Warning Issued In Case Of HIV Carrier

A new warning is out in the case of a South Sound man accused of knowingly exposing women to HIV, which can lead to AIDS.
Anthony Whitfield is charged with exposing at least four women to the deadly disease, but Pierce County health officials warned Thursday that many more may be in danger.Officials are now advising anyone who had sexual relations with Whitfield since 1992 to contact police and be tested for HIV.Prosecutors say they have already received more than 100 calls.Health officials said anyone with concerns about contact they may have had with Anthony Whitfield should call the Health Department at (360) 786-5581.
