Woman Performs CPR, Saves Dog

Posted: 4:35 pm PDT May 14, 2004

A dog that had a heart attack while on a walk around Green Lake was saved when a woman performed CPR on the animal.

Diane Pringle was walking with Heidi Hespelt when Hespelt's 5-year-old Boxer, Bella, collapsed on Wednesday.

Other walkers rushed to help -- one man with a water bottle and a woman who said she's a "hand's on healer."

A mother walking around the lake with her baby offered her stroller to help take Bella to a veterinarian.

"I would love to thank each and every one the people who helped out in person. They are amazing," said Hespelt.

Bella is doing fine.
