(Sports Network) - Candace Parker posted 24 points to lead the top-seeded Tennessee Lady Vols to a 78-52 romp over the ninth-seeded Purdue Boilermakers in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Alexis Hornbuckle added 14 points, eight steals and five assists for the Lady Vols (32-2), who earned head coach Pat Summitt her 100th career NCAA Tournament victory. Vicki Baugh pitched in 12 points off the bench for Tennessee.

"I'm really proud of our basketball team, they came in and committed to playing great defense," Summitt said. "I told them after the game that we had 30 minutes of the best defense we played all season."

The Lady Vols, seeded first in the Oklahoma City Regional bracket, moved to 42-0 all-time in NCAA first and second round games. Next up for Tennessee is a Sunday game against fifth-seeded Notre Dame, which earned a 79-75 overtime win over Oklahoma.

Keshia Mosley scored 14 points and Kalika France added 10 points in the setback for Purdue (19-15), which did not take advantage of a homecourt advantage.

Tennessee led 40-20 at intermission after limiting Purdue to 32 percent shooting from the field in the first half.

The Lady Vols connected on 51.7 percent of their field goal attempts over the final 20 minutes to seal the victory.

Tennessee earned a 41-28 rebounding advantage in the clash and forced 24 turnovers.
