Washington, DC -- (Sports Network) - The Washington Nationals placed a pair of catchers, Paul Lo Duca and Johnny Estrada, on the 15-day disabled list on Friday. The club recalled catcher Jesus Flores from Triple-A Columbus, and reinstated outfielder Elijah Dukes from the 15-day DL. Lo Duca left in the seventh inning of Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Houston after suffering a right hand injury while swinging, and has a fracture of the fourth metacarpal. He could be out four-to-six weeks with the injury In just 17 games this season, Lo Duca is batting .200 with four runs batted in. This is his second stint on the DL this season, and he missed most of Spring Training after undergoing knee surgery in the offseason. Estrada, who has batted .179 through 17 contests, is out with ulnar neuritis in his right elbow. His elbow, which he had surgery on in the offseason, has continued to bother him, and there is no timetable for Estrada's return. Wil Nieves is the only other catcher on Washington's active roster. Dukes strained his right hamstring on Opening Night.
