Zambrano, Johnson Scratched From Cubs/D-Backs Game Due To Rain

POSTED: 4:12 pm PDT May 11, 2008

(Sports Network) - Rainy conditions at Wrigley Field caused both the Chicago Cubs and the Arizona Diamondbacks to shelve their starting pitchers, Carlos Zambrano and Randy Johnson, respectively, on Sunday.

Right-hander Sean Gallager started for the Cubs after a 58-minute rain delay, while Edgar Gonzalez got the call for Arizona. However, neither pitcher factored in the decision as the Cubs completed a three-game series sweep with a 6-4 win.
