Chicago, IL -- The Kansas City Royals on Friday said first baseman Ken Harvey will miss the rest of the season after an MRI revealed a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee.Harvey, the eighth Royals player to suffer a season-ending injury this year, went down during a rundown in last Saturday's game against Cleveland. He batted .287 with 13 homers and 55 RBI in 120 games for Kansas City this season. "He'll be placed into a leg immobility pad for the next two weeks so, obviously, he's done for the season," Royals trainer Nick Swartz said. "He'll be rehabbed and be ready to go for Spring Training and the rest of next season." Harvey and Mike Sweeney had been alternating between first base and designated hitter for most of the season. Sweeney, suffering from a recurring disk problem in his back, was lost for the season last Monday.
