Coca-Cola Unleashes Interactive Soda Fountain

Test Machines Already In Several States

A new beverage touchscreen pouring machine puts every Coca-Cola flavor at your fingertips.

Utilizing a touchscreen developed by Bsquare, users can select any Coca-Cola product — Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Powerade, etc. — and then add flavors like grape, cherry and lemon. The drink is mixed up inside the machine and then poured.

The Freestyle allows consumers to select from more than 100 calorie and no-calorie brands – including beverages that have never been sold in the United States.

The new self-serve fountains have been in development for nearly four years.

Test machines are already in place in California, Georgia, and Utah, with more than 60 machines being rolled out elsewhere in the U.S. this summer.

The company hopes the "Coca-Cola Freestyle" will revolutionize the way beverage bars work in restaurants.

Coca-Cola said a standard fountain offers from eight to 12 varieties of sodas.
