Kobe Bryant scored 29 points to pace the Lakers to their 10th win in 11 games this season, a 104-90 triumph over the Denver Nuggets in the opener of the homestand on Friday. Bryant, who ended 12-of-18 from the field, had 11 points in the third quarter and didn't play in the fourth with the outcome well in hand. Andrew Bynum contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds as Los Angeles beat Denver for the fifth straight time. Lamar Odom also scored 13, while Pau Gasol had 12 and Trevor Ariza 11 for Los Angeles, which is 5-1 at home on the season. The Lakers will finish the residency with games against New Jersey, Dallas and Toronto. Sacramento lost for the fourth time in five games Friday when Portland's Steve Blake netted a game-high 20 points with five assists as the Blazers ripped the Kings, 117-96, at ARCO Arena. Rookie Jason Thompson picked up 19 points with a game-best 12 rebounds for the Kings, who continue to play without star guard Kevin Martin (ankle). Brad Miller scored 16 points and Spencer Hawes contributed 15 points in the loss. Martin will remain on the shelf for Sacramento tonight while point guard Beno Udrih (head) and power forward Mikki Moore (sprained right ankle) are questionable.
