The bodies of four people were found in Burien Monday, dead from carbon monoxide poisoning, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Relatives and friends said the family had been without power since Friday and were using a generator, found in their closed garage, to keep warm.

The odorless gas seeped into the home.

The dead are a husband, wife and their 21-and 14-year-old sons.

The couple’s 23-year-old son was found alive and was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he is currently in serious condition.

A concerned relative called authorities to check on the five people then found the family members inside the home in various rooms.

Their identities could be released Tuesday.

Half of the deaths associated with Thursday night’s windstorm have been from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Each year in the U.S., at least 15,000 suffer from carbon monoxide poisoning.
