Reward Offered In Year-Old Mystery

SEATTLE -- Authorities are offering a reward for information in the case of a Lynnwood woman who disappeared almost one year ago and whose body was found in Burien a few days later.The group Crimestoppers of Puget Sound said it will pay $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest or charges in unsolved slaying to Nicole Pietz.Pietz was last seen at her home on Jan. 27, 2006. Her body was found in Burien on Feb. 6, 2006. Her 2003 Volkswagen Jetta was found in Seattle's University District about two weeks later.The medical examiner's office said Pietz was strangled.Anyone who has information on the crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 800-CRIME-13.Detectives from the Snohomish County and King County sheriff's offices are working jointly on the case.
