LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- Nine juveniles who are responsible for much of the graffiti in Lynnwood have been arrested, police said on Friday.

The group caused tens of thousands of dollars' worth of property damage, including $6,500 in damage at one business complex, police said.

Police said the suspects could face up to five misdemeanor and 12 felony charges for malicious mischief, with jail time and restitution possible.

Police said officers took hundreds of photos during the months-long investigation, and used computers and specialized electronic equipment to find the juveniles.
