Three People Sick With CO Poisoning

POSTED: 4:18 pm PST March 5, 2007
UPDATED: 6:20 pm PST March 5, 2007

A man and two children have been transported to the hospital after being poisoned by carbon monoxide, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

The Kent Fire Department responded and called in the Haz Mat team to investigate at a home in the 130 block of Southeast 209th Street.

When the fire department arrived they discovered the man and two children in the home losing consciousness and a running vehicle in the garage.

In light of the high level of CO detected in the house, fire investigators believe the car had been running for several hours with the garage doors shut.

Firefighters evacuated the neighborhood while they aired out the home.

According to the fire department, the man and children were in stable condition when they were transported to the hospital.
