A group of Snohomish leaders is hoping to relocate the Spirit of Washington Dinner Train to their town, the Herald of Snohomish County reported.

The Dinner Train's run from Renton to Woodinville ends in July, when Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway is planning to shut down that stretch of track.

The train's owner told the newspaper that the 10-car train makes 410 trips and carries about 100,000 people every year.

A meeting on the idea is scheduled for next week.
