A car pursued by a Washington State Patrol trooper crashed on southbound Interstate 5 at South 320th Street when the vehicle went out of control Wednesday morning, troopers said.

The trooper pulled over the driver on I-5 near South 272nd Street at about 8:30 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, a stolen 1995 Acura Integra, sped away and reached speeds of 100 mph. The driver lost control of the car on a curve and it rolled over, troopers said.

The driver got out of the car and ran on the shoulder. He gave up when the trooper pulled alongside him.

Troopers said the driver, a 17-year-old from Tacoma, admitted to stealing the car from Highline Community College.
