Chase Ends In Crash On I-5

A car pursued by a Washington State Patrol trooper crashed on southbound Interstate 5 at South 320th Street when the vehicle went out of control Wednesday morning, troopers said.The trooper pulled over the driver on I-5 near South 272nd Street at about 8:30 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, a stolen 1995 Acura Integra, sped away and reached speeds of 100 mph. The driver lost control of the car on a curve and it rolled over, troopers said.The driver got out of the car and ran on the shoulder. He gave up when the trooper pulled alongside him.Troopers said the driver, a 17-year-old from Tacoma, admitted to stealing the car from Highline Community College.
