2 Hit By Car Along Seattle Waterfront

A pickup truck struck two people walking across Alaskan Way on Seattle's waterfront Friday, police said. The two were taken to Harborview Medical Center.

A witness told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the two -- a man and a woman -- were crossing in the 2000 block of Alaska Way in a crosswalk when they were hit.

Police said the driver of the pickup was cited.

There was no immediate word on the conditions of the two people who were struck.

Video from Chopper 7 showed both lanes of traffic blocked on southbound Alaskan Way and one lane blocked northbound.
