A service dog that was taken from a Walgreens store over the weekend has been found, police said.

The Yorkshire Terrier was taken Sunday night from the store on Pacific Highway in Des Moines.

Joycelyn Moulton left "Scooter" in her car, but he jumped out the window and followed her into the store.

Surveillance video showed two women entering the store and walking out with the dog.

Moulton, who's diabetic, said she depends on the dog to detect when her blood sugar drops.

"She gives off this -- it's a different bark. It's like a shrill bark," Moulton said. "It's like, I don't have any kids, so she's my only child. It's like losing your child."

Police said a relative of one of the women who took the dog recognized her in a television report and called her.

A Des Moines police officer arranged to pick up "Scooter" in Federal Way and contacted Moulton.
